Supporting educational institutions with professional development opportunities
Cybersecurity and AI skills are in demand across every industry and sector. As part of Microsoft’s AI Skills initiative, Microsoft is offering curriculum, resources, and training to support faculty and educators who provide or are interested in providing training and enablement for student Cybersecurity and AI skilling.
The Microsoft Learn for Educators Cybersecurity and AI Bootcamp training for faculty includes three sessions over 3 days:
Day 1: One in-person 3.5-hour introduction event to be scheduled at an agreed upon date, time, and location. The agenda includes:
• Overview of the Microsoft Cybersecurity and AI Bootcamp
• Step-by-step, hands-on orientation to enroll and use the classroom materials, benefits, resources, and content related Cybersecurity and AI available through the Microsoft Learn for Educator (MSLE) program and experiencing generative AI using Copilot (and your own creativity)
Day 2: This 3-hour virtual training on teaching SC-900: Microsoft Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals course includes:
• Core Teaching Content and Microsoft Learn for Educators Overview
• SC-900: Microsoft Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals
◦ The fundamentals of security, compliance, and identity (SCI) across cloud-based and related Microsoft services
◦ Exam Preparation – Microsoft Learn Practice Assessments
◦ Certification & Requesting Accommodations
Day 3: This 3-hour virtual training on teaching SC-200: Security Operations Analyst Associate course includes:
• SC-200: Security Operations Analyst Associate
◦ Investigate, search for, and mitigate threats using Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, and Microsoft 365 Defender
◦ Gaining Practical Experience with Microsoft Azure AI Services (including Skillable and GitHub course labs)
• Moving from SC-900 to SC-200
• Curriculum Integration
• Helping Students Highlight their Cybersecurity and AI Skills in the Job Market
